ESSENTIAL COMPANION TICKETS

Essential companion tickets

The team at Watersmeet is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. If you have any specific access requirements, our box office team is here to assist you, whether at the venue or in advance of your visit.

For certain shows and all film screenings, we offer a complimentary carer's ticket for those guests who would otherwise be unable to attend without an essential companion.  In order to obtain an essential companion pass, we encourage you to register for our FREE digital Access Card.

For more details or to discuss your needs, please reach out to our box office on 01923 711063 during their opening hours:
Tuesday-Friday, 10am-2pm or at any time on watersmeet@threerivers.gov.uk

The Access Scheme

As we are always looking to improve the booking journey for customers with access requirements, we are pleased to have launched the Access Registration scheme in partnership with Nimbus Disability.  Nimbus Disability is a social enterprise and an organisation run by and for disabled people and is recognised as a leading authority on accessible ticketing in the UK.

Our partnership with Nimbus Disability will further improve the booking journey by offering online booking for the first time, through this new access registration scheme.

A dedicated Watersmeet Digital Access Pass is a free way of conveying your access requirements with us only. You still go through the same process, and receive a confirmation email with your Digital Access Pass number, but with no physical card. The digital free Access pass for Watersmeet is valid for one year and you can upgrade to a full Access Card at any point.

Full Access Cards are £15 for three years and can be used at thousands of events. You can view the Access Card directory here.

For help and support applying, please visit the Access Card Support Page by clicking here.

What happens next?

When your application has been processed successfully, Nimbus will provide you with a unique registration number via email which you will then need to advise to us.

After you have done this, Watersmeet will simply pull through your requirements directly from Nimbus.

Please note:  It is not currently possible to book an essential carers ticket online.

In order to streamline the process of communicating your access needs to Watersmeet, the Access Card system translates your disability or impairment into easy-to-understand symbols.

There are nine symbols in total and in order to receive your essential companion ticket, your Digital Pass (valid at Watersmeet only for one year) or your full 3-year nationwide Access Card will need to display the '+1' icon shown below.

Useful Information

If you are not able to use online forms and would be unable to access online sales you do still need to register. Nimbus will be able to assist with telephone registration on 0330 808 5108.

If you already have an Access Card, there is no need to re-register, just log in or create and account with us and call the box office with your registration number.

Once you have registered, logged in and linked – you are all set to book!

Why is the process changing and how does this benefit me?

By partnering with Nimbus, this will enable us to fully understand the access requirements of our customers and provide reasonable adjustments, such as access to certain seating and essential companion tickets.

Nimbus is run by, and for, disabled people. The system offers greater privacy, as disabled people with access requirements will no longer need to carry supporting documents or explain circumstances to staff. You’ll only need to supply information once to the Nimbus team, who can then issue you with an Access Card or a Digital Access Pass reference number - depending on which route you choose when signing up.
